Call for papers até 16 de agosto
Nos dias 24 e 25 de outubro de 2019, tem lugar na Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto, o II Seminário Internacional EXPRESSA – Re-imaginar a Comunicação Científica em Educação, em que se procurará articular um espaço de elaborações coletivas sobre o trabalho em educação, por meio de apresentações que privilegiem formas alternativas de expressão.
O seminário é organizado por membros das Comunidades de Prática de Investigação IDEAFor, EIP e CAFTe, integrados no Centro de Investigação e Intervenção Educativas (CIIE).
Este encontro destina-se, essencialmente, a investigadores, estudantes, professores e outros profissionais da educação, ou áreas relacionadas.

Call for papers: Conference “Media literacy in a media-rich ecology”
The ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon in association with the European project MediaCoach Initiative is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the Conference “Media literacy in a media-rich ecology”, which will be held December 4, 2019 (Wednesday), at the ISCTE-IUL, Portugal (https://www.iscte-iul.pt/).
Concerning the theme:
Media literacy in a media-rich ecology
As the current digitally mediated environment becomes an ever more substantial means through which individuals structure their personal and social lives, it is increasingly important that they understand the complex nature of the media ecology. The media permeates virtually all domains of the lives of common citizens, embedded in domestic and social lives, education and training, work and leisure. Though it offers plenty of opportunities in all these areas, it also poses challenges at the personal and societal levels. Given the fast pace of technological change in our current media-rich ecology, the increasing of media-literate individuals is seen as a desirable societal goal in an age where media illiteracy tends to be regarded as problematic as traditional illiteracy. This environment also prompts a renewed effort to conceptualize, measure and disseminate media literacy worldwide, posing its own challenges for research and policy.
This conference wants not only to reach the scholar community interested in digital and media literacy, but also to encourage non-profit organizations and activists working on media literacy related initiatives to join us in discussion.
There will be three panels with the following topics:
1 – Digital literacy related activism and non-profit Organizations
2 – New digital devices, new challenges in media literacy?
3 – Digital literacy and Policy
Submission Information:

Each submission should include a title, an abstract, up to five keywords, a brief biography for the authors and current affiliation.
The proposals must be submitted in English. The conference language is English.
Proposals should also indicate the thematic panel of the communication to be presented.
Each tenderer may submit a presentation proposal only.
Selected presentations will be invited to publish in a special issue of the Scientific Journal Observatorio (OBS*) (http://obs.obercom.pt/index.php/obs).

Those interested in submitting a presentation proposal must complete the form below until September 15, 2019.
All proposals will be peer-reviewed by the Program Committee.
Notifications of acceptance will be the responsibility of the coordinators of the thematic panels and will be informed by the beginning of October 2019.
Accepted authors must submit their final abstract (according to standards to be determined in due course) by the end of October 2019.

Informamos que o call for papers para o Dossiê temático: A COMUNICAÇÃO OMNICANAL EM TURISMO, que tem como editoras convidadas Raquel Barbosa Ribeiro e Filipa Fernandes (Centro de Administração e Políticas Públicas, Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas, Universidade de Lisboa), foi prolongado até ao próximo dia 15 de Setembro.
