SUMMARY:Seminar series "Toward an integrative cognitive science of social inequalities" (spring semester 2024)
DESCRIPTION:The goal of this seminar series is to discuss research coming out of the fields of cognitive science and sociology\, with the hope of articulating the social and cognitive dimensions of inequalities. Are there bridges between these two fields? What are the challenges for interdisciplinary research? Although the differences between the fields of cognitive science and sociology cannot be denied\, the goal of this seminar is to facilitate scientific exchange among communities of researchers interested in questions that relate to social inequality. \nSeminars will be held online. DESCRIPTION:Nos últimos 20 anos\, a análise do desempenho dos estudantes em avaliações internacionais tem fornecido dados valiosos para o estudo de tendências e discussão dos fatores que influenciam a evolução do sistema educativo português. \nDesde 2000\, Portugal fez progressos consistentes nos resultados do PISA\, ultrapassando a média da OCDE em 2015\, mas conheceu uma queda nos últimos anos. Nesta Conferência será analisado o impacto das reformas educativas em Portugal e as diferenças entre países na eficiência e equidade educacional\, procurando-se compreender as limitações e fraquezas do atual sistema educativo com vista à identificação das áreas ou dos níveis de ensino onde uma intervenção é mais necessária. \nInscrições: https://evento.edulog.pt/index.html
