DESCRIPTION:The goal of this seminar series is to discuss research coming out of the fields of cognitive science and sociology\, with the hope of articulating the social and cognitive dimensions of inequalities. Are there bridges between these two fields? What are the challenges for interdisciplinary research? Although the differences between the fields of cognitive science and sociology cannot be denied\, the goal of this seminar is to facilitate scientific exchange among communities of researchers interested in questions that relate to social inequality. \nSeminars will be held online. SUMMARY:Colóquio Internacional "Percursos escolares estudantis: acessos e permanências"
DESCRIPTION:Entrada livre. \nNeste encontro privilegiaremos a reflexão sobre a importância do cruzamento entre diacronia e sincronia nos trajetos escolares. Na verdade\, apesar das origens sociais\, na sua multidimensionalidade e interseção (classe\, género\, etnia) serem preditores importantes\, não é menos necessário ter em conta as desigualdades que se vão formando ao longo das trajetórias estudantis\, nem tampouco a sua moldagem pelos projetos e mecanismos da socialização antecipatória e dos grupos de referência. Assim se cruzam\, pois\, diacronia (ciclos de vida; bifurcações e encruzilhadas ao nível individual; papéis sociais – do aluno ao jovem; etc.) e sincronia (na pluralidade de contextos\, princípios\, agentes e instituições de socialização). Assim se cruza\, também\, a precisão de ter em conta\, não apenas o franquear dos ciclos de estudo\, mas fundamentalmente as condições de sustentabilidade dos percursos longos\, em particular quando falamos das classes populares.
