DESCRIPTION:RN24/SSNET Sociology of Science and Technology Network\, da European Sociological Association \n26+17/11/2025 | Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto \nAbstract Submission Deadline: By 30 September 2025 [new date]  Call for Papers \nThe RN24/SSTNET – Sociology of Science and Technology Network invites scholars and researchers to submit sociological contributions that critically explore the multifaceted role of technology in shaping and responding to today’s global challenges\, with particular attention to those faced by Europe. \nIn a context marked by rapid technological advances and mounting global crises\, Europe—and the European Union in particular—must navigate a constantly evolving sociotechnical landscape. Climate change\, economic inequality\, geopolitical instability\, and digital transformation are profoundly reshaping institutions and societies. Rather than treating technology merely as a solution or a disruptive force\, this call seeks contributions that examine how technological practices\, imaginaries\, and infrastructures are embedded in\, and constitutive of\, wider sociopolitical dynamics.
