A European Sociological Association (ESA) está à procura de voluntários/as entusiastas para contribuir para o sucesso do 16º Congresso da ESA no Porto, que terá lugar de 27 a 30 de agosto de 2024.

Como voluntário/a, tens a oportunidade de desempenhar um papel central na realização do Congresso e aproveitar as sessões com académicos e profissionais das ciências sociais.

Este é um momento único para conheceres o trabalho de académicos de referência, estabeleceres contatos com profissionais e contribuíres para a organização de um evento importante para a Sociologia na Europa.

We look for engaged volunteers to collaborate at the 16th European Sociological Association Conference to be held in the city of Porto from August 27 to 30, 2024.

As a volunteer, you will be an integral part of facilitating a seamless and enriching experience for all participants. This conference presents a unique occasion for students and professionals alike, transcending disciplinary boundaries and offering a platform for the exchange of ideas and insights within the dynamic field of Social Sciences.

Volunteers will enjoy of a complimentary access, and they will be able to attend the different sessions when out of duty. Free lunches will be provided and a certificate of volunteering, giving recognition to your invaluable contribution. If you fill in this form and present a paper at the conference at the same time, we’ll refund the fee at the end of the volunteering service.

In addition to these benefits, volunteers will undergo specialized training tailored to the nuances of scientific event management. This not only ensures the smooth execution of tasks but also offers a valuable learning experience for personal and professional development.

Volunteers will be expected to deal with all participants and other volunteers in a cordial and respectful manner, comply with and enforce safety regulations, follow the protocol indicated by the organisation and coordinators, meet and report to the venue on time and carry out the duties indicated with care and responsibility.
