We are pleased to announce the opening of the call for the recruitment of two Early-Stage Researchers in Rural Entrepreneurship at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. These positions are offered within the framework of the EPHEMERAL – Entrepreneurship and Place: How Entrepreneurs Manage Evolving Relationships Across the Life-Cycle project (HORIZON-MSCA-2024-DN-01-01 / 101227644).

The research positions will focus on two main topics:

1) Rural tourism and heritage identities: implications for local entrepreneurship (1 position)

2) Food networks & building connectivity and communicating place identities beyond the rural (1 position)

Funded under Horizon Europe, EPHEMERAL seeks to train a new generation of researchers in advancing rural development theory and practice through entrepreneurship. The project investigates how entrepreneurs shape rural places over time, considering life-cycle dynamics, evolving local contexts, and structural societal changes.
