Position Description : The Department of Sociology is announcing the opening of a tenured faculty position in Sociology to teach quantitative methods of data analysis and social statistics. The candidate must have the ability to teach sociology at all three cycles and to conduct research in one of the major fields of sociology.
The successful candidate for the position will be hired by Université Laval as a professor in a tenured position from the date of appointment.
Qualifications : • Doctorate completed in sociology or in a relevant discipline; • Proficiency in teaching quantitative methods of data analysis, social statistics and sociology at all three levels of study; • Teaching experience will be considered an asset; • Strong publication record and achievements in research; • Ability to teach in French; • Good oral and written communication skills in French.
Conditions : Compensation in accordance with the collective agreement in force.
