Symposium “Contested Social and Ecological Reproduction”
23 Setembro @ 13:00
Although it is potentially possible, humankind has not succeeded in securing the basis of life for all people. This state of affairs is not accepted by everyone. It is precisely the prevailing conditions and possibilities of social and ecological reproduction that are increasingly being challenged globally by social movements. In recent years, a strengthening of struggles over work, demands for the reorganization of care relations and for climate justice can be observed along mass demostrations, international labor and school strikes and unrest in feminized employment sectors.
With our symposium “Contested Social and Ecological Reproduction”, we want to find answers to the question of how states, social movements and civil society actors deal with on-going multidimensional crises.
The Symposium will be held in English and German. The event is open to the public. Because of the still on-going pandemic, the conference will take place at Klemperer-Saal, Weberplatz 5, in Dresden as well as online. If you would like to participate virtually, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
