Dear sociologists,
Welcome to the IX International Catalan Congress of Sociology and the VII Congress of Young People in Sociology, a space to share ideas, perspectives and experiences under the motto “IA, Equity and Social Justice: contributions from sociology”. From April 16 to 18, the University of Girona will open the doors to debate and learning about the future we face.
During the three days that the two conferences will take place, we will hold debates around these issues, as well as in the more than fifteen areas of the Working Groups of the Catalan Association of Sociology, which will address issues as diverse as the transformations of work, the family, education, culture, gender, migrations, health, territory or public policies. It will therefore be an opportunity to connect perspectives, share knowledge and generate new approaches to today’s great social challenges.

The communication proposals must be sent through the sending space and must include:
Working group where they are presented.
- Author/s and Affiliation (including email) (each participant may be included in a maximum of 2 communications).
- Title of maximum 75 characters.
- Abstract of 300 to 500 words. This must provide information on the research questions and the theoretical framework, methodology, results and conclusions, in addition to bibliographic references.
- The language can be Catalan, Spanish, English or French.
- The deadline for submitting proposals is 19 December 2025.
