The symposium aims to create a space within ICS for collaborative conversations that explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping, and being shaped by, the conditions of life today. We invite participants to think together across disciplines, experiences, and ways of knowing. In a world marked by rapid technological change, we all need support in navigating its complexities, and this symposium is a space to do just that. Contributions examine how AI intersects with and transforms everyday life, sustainability, and governance and regulation; explore under-researched or unexpected intersections between AI and social, political, environmental or cultural domains; investigate normative and ethical dimensions of AI in democratic societies, and propose ideas and visions that challenge, complicate, or expand prevailing narratives about AI.
