No próximo dia 22 de junho, o Projeto Exchange, financiado pelo European Research Council e sediado no Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade (CECS), vai organizar o Simpósio “Challenges to criminal justice and police and judicial cooperation: the DNA data exchange within the Prüm system”.
O simpósio será realizado online, por via da plataforma Zoom, das 9h30 às 11h30 (Portugal) e das 10h30 às 12h30 (Bruxelas).

O evento é gratuito, mas requer inscrição prévia. Para se registrar, envie um e-mail até dia 17 de junho para o e-mail exchangeprojectevents@gmail.com. Neste e-mail, deverá facultar as seguintes informações: Nome completo; Afiliação; País. O número de participantes é limitado a 275.

On June 22, the Exchange Project, supported by the European Research Council, hosted at Sociology Department at University of Minho, will be hosting the Symposium “Challenges to criminal justice and police and judicial cooperation: the DNA data exchange within the Prüm system”.
The symposium will take place online, via zoom, 9.30 – 11.30 WET (Portugal), 10.30 – 12.30 CET (Brussels).

In this symposium, the major achievements of the EXCHANGE project will be presented, as input for open discussions among various stakeholders. Topics of discussions include taking stock of the current situation of the transnational DNA data exchange and debating ongoing challenges and the future of the Prüm system. The event aims to bring together and put into dialogue professionals and scientists working in fields related to criminal justice, forensic genetics, and police and judicial cooperation in the EU.
The event is free but requires registration. To register please send an email until June 17 to the email exchangeprojectevents@gmail.com. The following information must be included: Complete Name; Affiliation; Country. The number of participants is restricted to 275.
