Os estudos Rendimento Adequado em Portugal (2020) e Regime de Mínimos Sociais em Portugal (2021), publicados pela Almedina, representam o resultado de colaborações interuniversitárias no desenvolvimento de investigação no domínio da Política Social, alinhadas com o espirito de colaboração que originou a constituição da ESPAnet Portugal (European Network for Social Policy Analysis).
Estes Estudos são resultado da colaboração entre professores/as universitários/as e investigadores/as, especialistas nas áreas respetivas, comprometidos/as com a responsabilidade de contribuir para a compreensão da realidade e para as mudanças necessárias, apoiadas no conhecimento científico e na reflexão e discussão pública, visando a garantia do direito a um rendimento adequado, entendido como o rendimento suficiente para um nível de vida digno, em Portugal, consagrado em diversos princípios do Pilar Europeu dos Direitos Sociais.
No dia 9 de março 2022, entre as 16h e as 19h30, será realizado presencialmente um evento de apresentação e discussão pública destes estudos, no ISCSP (Auditório Óscar Soares Barata), Universidade de Lisboa, com objetivo de divulgar estes estudos e promover a reflexão e discussão académica e pública.
Este evento é dirigido a estudantes, investigadores, professores e outros profissionais que atuam no domínio da Política Social, incluindo aqueles que participam nos processos de decisão, e ao público em geral.
O evento terá dois momentos. Num primeiro momento, será realizada a apresentação dos estudos pelos coordenadores – José Pereirinha, Professor do ISEG, e Profª. Elvira Pereira, Professora no ISCSP -, seguida de comentários pelos convidados – Fernando Serra, Professor Associado do ISCSP; José Luis Albuquerque, Diretor Geral do GEP do MTSSS; e Sandra Araújo, Diretora Executiva da EAPN-Portugal -, seguido de debate aberto a todos/as. Esta sessão será presidida/moderada por Romana Xerez, Vice-Presidente do ISCSP. Num segundo momento, haverá uma mesa redonda com a participação dos/as autores/as do estudo Regime de Mínimos Sociais em Portugal, associados às diferentes prestações sociais que constituem o regime analisado (Alexandra Lopes, Universidade do Porto; Elvira Pereira, Universidade de Lisboa; Francisco Branco, Universidade Católica Portuguesa; José Pereirinha, Universidade de Lisboa; Margarida Antunes, Universidade de Coimbra; Maria Clara Murteira, Universidade de Coimbra; Paula Pinto, Universidade de Lisboa; Teresa Janela Pinto, Universidade de Lisboa). Esta sessão será moderada por Andreia Sanches (Jornalista, Diretora Adjunta do jornal Público).

About the Book
Improving learning evidence and outcomes for those most in need in developing countries is at the heart of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal on Education (SDG4). This timely volume brings together contributions on current empirical research and analysis of emerging trends that focus on improving the quality of education through better policy and practice, particularly for those who need improved ‘learning at the bottom of the pyramid’ (LBOP).
This volume brings together academic research experts, government officials and field-based practitioners. National and global experts present multiple broad thematic papers – ranging from the effects of migration and improving teaching to the potential of educational technologies, and better metrics for understanding and financing education. In addition, local experts, practitioners and policymakers describe their own work on LBOP issues being undertaken in Kenya, India, Mexico and Ivory Coast. The contributors argue persuasively that learning equity is a moral imperative, but also one that will have educational, economic and social impacts. They further outline how achieving SDG4 will take renewed and persistent effort by stakeholders to use better measurement tools to promote learning achievement among poor and marginalized children.
This volume builds on the second international conference on Learning at the Bottom of the Pyramid (LBOP2). It will be an indispensable resource for policymakers, researchers and government thinktanks, and local experts, as well as any readers interested in the implementation of learning equity across the globe.
